Busy busy....have been rather slack at keeping my blog up to date. my excuses are:

1. apartment hunting...eurrgh.
2. apartment finding....yay!
3. spending weekend in the country
4. working on coloriffic swaporama
5. learning to balance a sword on my head for upcoming bellydance student show

Yes, a sword. Don't own one yet, so am practising at home with a cushion on my head. Actually, the cushion is spending a bit more time on the floor than on my head, but the show is still nine weeks away so there is hope for me yet.

It seems too early to officially get up, but too late to go back to bed. Time to catch up on some photos.....




This quilt has been languishing unfinished on the back of the sofa for a while, threads dangling higgledy-piggledy.







Blokey saw this photo of my thread stash, and remarked that it looked like a crowd in a sports stadium. So I gave them little faces....because giving things faces is fun.



I feel a yawn coming on....back to bed it is.

When I get up for work, it's dark. When I leave work it's dark. Not good for taking photos...
On the bright side I have been accepted for this month's coloriffic swaporama. My first swap! The theme is "Rainbow", so there is plenty of colourful crafting and shopping ahead to lighten up the winter days.
I'd better get cracking - it's been a very lazy week.

Things I have done this week instead of crafting....

1. Played Project Zero 3 on the Playstation. In the dark. V. terrifying.
2. Attended Blokey's gig and ended up drinking away much of the band's rider as they were all driving.
3. Started the latest Louise Rennison novel, "Startled by his Furry Shorts". I don't read them in public anymore, as they cause disturbing spasms of laughter and therefore many funny looks.
   
4. Watched "Pirates of the Caribbean 2"...have had a crush on Johnny Depp since age 13. That's over half my life. Which is a long time to be faithful to one man.

A profitable week, I think you'll agree!

all i really have to say today is that i like my new cup.

i think the huge blog readership, three-book deal and major journalism awards may have to wait!

in the meantime i shall be having a nice cup of tea....you are welcome to join me.

old 80's/90's teen films and shows - heathers, the breakfast club, degrassi junior high, press gang, my so-called life.
a little bit of sci fi and fantasy - lord of the rings, buffy, firefly, new dr who.
shows which make me laugh - that 70's show, coupling, have i got news for you, shameless.
shows i like which don't make me laugh so much - six feet under, twin peaks, lost, the avengers, moonlighting.

little things i like - bunnies, stationery, handmade & unusual papers, hand dyed fabric & yarn, fridge magnets, kitschy thriftstore finds, bags & purses, amigurumi, english breakfast tea, handmade cards, tins, pinchushions, nail polish, handmade stamps & stencils, teacups, anything japanese, badges, fabrics, bright colours, snail mail, ribbons, plushies, stripey socks.
scents i like - vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, basil, rosemary, lavender, coconut, banana.
things i don't like - cucumber, peanut butter, coffee, herbal tea, licquorice.
